I am honored to assume the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees at the American
University in the Emirates (AUE).
At the AUE, we believe that an investment in education is an investment in
people and their promising future.
In 2005, we set ourselves an ambitious goal of establishing a quality higher
education institution in the UAE with a mission to offer outstanding learning
and educational services to the community.
We are deeply grateful to those who have
assisted us and
participated in
the
accomplishment
of this goal,
i.e. the
establishment of
AUE. Together,
we are
establishing a
university in
the region which
is capable of
making
differences.
Above all else, the AUE is committed to develop and enhance the offered
accredited academic programs, services, and facilities to enable AUE
stakeholders to achieve their goals.
During the previous years, though we faced many challenges, we were determined
to continue the fulfillment of AUE mission of providing an accessible and valued
higher education to the UAE and the region.
After two years of operations, AUE has become a distinguished and competitive
university. It has demonstrated quality teaching. Its faculty members have
proved their commitments to share their knowledge, talent, and experience into
learning and teaching. At the AUE, we have proved that the university is capable
of pursuing the never-ending quest for high-quality education.
We appreciate the dedication and commitment of AUE stakeholders and the
invaluable contributions they make to higher education in the UAE. We also
appreciate their encouragement and adherence to the fulfillment of AUE’s
ambitious vision.
